AFRINIC’s successful emergence as the newest Regional Internet Registry was supported by the existing RIRs; ARIN, APNIC, LACNIC and the RIPE NCC. This support included a financial contribution of $100,000 for the set-up of AFRINIC’s operations.
The Number Resource Organization (NRO) celebrates the event and welcomes AFRINIC to the Regional Internet Registry community.
